Initial Phone Consultation
Before you schedule an appointment, we can arrange a brief phone consultation. During the consultation, you will have the opportunity to get to know me and I can assess whether or not I believe I can be helpful to you. In the event that we are not a good fit, then I will be happy to provide you with referrals to other therapists in my office or in the surrounding area.
I offer appointments starting at 8:00AM and as late as 8:30PM. Appointments are typically 55 minutes in length, but can be longer or shorter if you prefer. I will offer you the same appointment time each week whenever possible. In the case of a crisis, I will attempt to schedule an appointment with you as soon as possible.
I take your privacy concerns very seriously and I will do my best to provide special accommodations as needed. The Center has a large lobby that allows for discretion and my upstairs office offers an exit from the building without re-entering the lobby. I can also try to schedule your appointment early or late when there is little or no traffic in the building.
My office is located in the Center For Psychology at 1601 Rainbow Road in Rogers. I will send you a short Intake Form via e-mail to complete at home and bring to your first appointment. It is common to be nervous at your first appointment, so I will do everything that I can to help you feel comfortable. We will spend the first session discussing your concerns, goals and expectations. At the end of the session, you can choose to schedule another or take some time to think it over.
At various points during the course of therapy we will review our progress toward the mutually agreed upon goals. I may adjust our focus or treatment approach depending on your needs. Most clients will see positive changes early in therapy and if after the 4th or 5th session you have not made any progress, we will consider shifting the therapy in some way. Once your goals have been met and you are ready to end therapy, we can share in the joy of your success.
